First discovered in 1894 by German chemist Emil Fischer mannose was documented as an 'aldohexose' with the molecular formula C6H12O6.

D-mannose has a more recently documented background in its clinical application as a treatment for urinary tract infections with case studies dating back to the 1980's which have been carefully documented by the medical director of the renowned Tahoma Clinic Dr Jonathan Wright.

It is through extensive clinical trials and laboratory testing that D-mannose has proven its ability to attach to and remove the bacterium e-coli from our urinary tract which is responsible for approximately 90% of all Urinary tract infections.
