My name is Carole and I am 57 years old. I am a mother of 2  and a grandmother of 5 aged from 16 months to 9 years. In August 2008 I went to my GP with a small but painful spot on my abdomen. He told me that it was an abscess and to cover it with a plaster coated with magnesium sulphate to draw out the poison and gave me a broad-spectrum antibiotic. Next day I pulled off the plaster and it burst. I cleaned it as best I could but within 10 days it had spread and I had several spots. I returned to the surgery and saw the sister who was shocked that I had been left to my own devices. Another GP saw me and said that it was infected shingles and prescribed Clarythromycin.

A few days later another spot had appeared on my wrist and the original lesions were weeping and oozing pus that smelt like rotten meat. Later that same night the pain was so bad that I went to the local A&E where I was told that I was very infectious and was prescribed yet another antibiotic, co-amoxyclav. Swabs were at last taken but I was told that it was a staphylococcus aureas infection. The swab results showed that I had MRSA and from the cultures that had been grown the GP was able to prescribe yet another 2 antibiotics (minocyclane and rifamipicin) for 2 weeks. This was the 4th different antibiotic I had been given Unhappy at my treatment, I changed surgeries. The lesions were eventually cleared but by the end of May this year I had a spot come up in my groin. My new GP confirmed that the MRSA was back. This drove me to investigate how I could help myself in the fight against recurring MRSA.

I found several references to the benefits of oregano oil and found the website "WildOreganoOil". I ordered some and started taking 2 drops morning and evening in juice for the first week and also applied some straight from the bottle on to the abscesses and covered them. I did this every day and also drained the poison as much as possible. I put several dr ops into all my hand washes, shampoos, shower gels and even in the washing machine because it is the most potent antibiotic known to man.  After 5 days I had cleared up these spots and my doctor was amazed. I stopped taking the oregano and in July another abscess appeared.

I went back to my GP and she asked me why I had stopped taking it. Swabs were again taken which confirmed that the MRSA was back. I restarted the oregano treatment as before with bigger doses including 5 drops under my tongue 3 times each day and also did nose swabs using cotton wool buds dipped in oregano because I realised by now the MRSA lived in my nose This burnt for a few minutes at first but this was the infection being killed. We took pictures each day and one can see the infection being killed each day. I worked with my GP in this treatment as I felt that I had had enough antibiotics because there are now only 2 that can be of any benefit to me in future as a result of all those I was prescribed last year. Some experts believe that the overuse of broad-spectrum antibiotics is the cause of MRSA.

My GP said that she did not think I would get rid of this with Oregano and wanted me to treat it traditionally with body washes and a nose gel. I explained that that was what I was doing but using wild oregano oil with a high carvacrol value and insisted on trying this first. She told me that I would need to have 3 negative nasal swabs taken at 2-weekly intervals before she would accept that the MRSA had been killed off. The 3rd result was received last week and it confirmed that I am now clear.   My GP was both pleased and amazed. I cannot stress too strongly how glad I am that I found out about this amazing natural herb. It has possibly saved my life because if the infections had gone into my blood, they could have developed into septicaemia which can kill within days. I have only one life and I am very important to all of my family. I look after all my grandchildren frequ e ntly. We are a very close family. So when I realised how contagious I was, I was devastated knowing that I was endangering my family.

My 5-year old grandson who has had several ear and chest infections over the past year including loss of hearing in one ear and has been prescribed many antibiotics was given 2 drops in juice morning and night by my daughter. Within 2 weeks his hearing was back and he has had no further problems.

   Natural herbs and spices have no side effects and one cannot become resistant to them.
